The Power of Praise: How Psalm 147 Reminds Us of God’s Care

Life often brings uncertainty, pain, and struggles. In difficult times, it's easy to forget just how powerful and loving our God is. Psalm 147 is a beautiful reminder that God not only controls the universe but also cares deeply for His people.

1. God Heals the Brokenhearted

One of the most comforting verses in Psalm 147 is verse 3:
"He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds."
No matter what trials we face—whether heartbreak, loss, or disappointment—God is always present to restore us. His love is greater than our pain, and His healing is perfect.

2. God’s Power Extends Over All Creation

Verse 4 says:
"He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names."
This verse shows that God’s knowledge and power are limitless. If He cares enough to name every star, how much more does He care for us?

3. God Provides for All

"He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry." (Psalm 147:9)
If God provides for the animals, we can trust that He will take care of our needs. Worrying about the future is unnecessary when we have a God who never fails to provide.

4. God Delights in Those Who Trust Him

Verse 11 tells us:
"The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy."
God does not take delight in earthly strength or achievements, but in those who trust Him. This is a powerful reminder that faith and obedience matter more than worldly success.

How Psalm 147 Helps Us Today

  • If you are struggling emotionally, remember that God heals the brokenhearted.
  • If you feel powerless, trust that God is in control over all things.
  • If you are worried about provision, rest in the truth that God provides for His people.
  • If you feel distant from God, return to praise, because He is always near to those who seek Him.

No matter what you’re facing today, let Psalm 147 remind you that you serve a God who is mighty, loving, and faithful. Lift up your praise, and trust Him to take care of every need.

Joseph Has 2 Dreams

In both of Joseph's dreams, he was the authority figure. In the Book of Genesis 37:3, it says that Jacob, Joseph's father loved him more than all his other children. In verse 4, it says because the brothers saw that Joseph was loved more, they hated him and could not speak peaceably to him. As the story goes on, the brothers stripped Joseph from the beautiful and colorful coat his father had made him. They end up throwing Joseph into a pit and selling him to the Ismeelites for 20 pieces of silver. Joseph's coat was taken and dipped into goats blood. They returned to their father with the coat. The father, Israel (Jacob) recognized the coat as being Joseph's, his son. He began to weep sorely for his son because he thought a wild animal had killed him. Joseph is taken into Egypt... A Wake-Up Call: Few Will Enter the Kingdom of God

A Wake-Up Call: Few Will Enter the Kingdom of God Recently, I had a dream that I believe holds a significant message  not only for myself but for many others. I feel led to share this dream with you, as I believe it serves as a spiritual wake up call–a reminder of the urgency of walking in the truth and seeking the Kingdom of God. In this dream, I found myself in a large classroom filled with 30 or more adults. The atmosphere was serious, almost as if everyone was waiting for something important to happen. At the front of the classroom, there was a door that led to a small, enclosed room. I stepped into that room, and with me was a man, though I couldn’t clearly identify who he was. In my hand, I was holding four large wooden dowels. These dowels were about 12 inches long and colored similarly to chico sticks — bright and attention  - grabbing. I kept turning to the man beside me, telling him, “You tell them,” as if I was unsure of delivering the message myself. But each...
