The Value of Faith, Perseverance, and Holiness

The Value of Faith, Perseverance, and Holiness Introduction and Greeting In the opening verses of 1 Peter, the apostle introduces himself as an apostle of Jesus Christ and addresses the people in his letter as Christians who are scattered throughout several regions. Peter acknowledges their faith and encourages them by reminding them of their new birth through Christ and the hope they have in him. The Value of Faith Peter emphasizes the value of faith in God, which is being tested by trials. He explains that faith will be proven genuine through perseverance and that it will result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Peter encourages the people to remain steadfast in faith in reminder that faith is more valuable than gold, which perishes even though it is tested by fire. The Hope of Salvation Peter tells of the hope of salvation in Christ. He explains that salvation is the goal of  faith and that the prophets of old searched and inquired about this salvati...

Understanding the Spiritual Reality of the New Covenant in Christ

Understanding the Spiritual Reality of the New Covenant in Christ - Hebrews Chapter 9 is a significant part of the New Testament that provides insights into the Old Testament Tabernacle and its spiritual significance. The Scripture highlights how the Tabernacle served as a symbolic representation of the spiritual reality of the New Covenant in Christ.  The chapter begins by explaining the construction of the Tabernacle and its different parts, including the Holy of Holies, which was the most sacred space in the Tabernacle. The High Priest would enter the Holy of Holies once a year to make atonement for the sins of the people, which was a temporary solution for their sins. However, Hebrews Chapter 9 explains that Christ, as the perfect High Priest, entered the heavenly Tabernacle to offer himself as the ultimate sacrifice for sin. This sacrifice cleansed the conscience of believers of dead works and enables them to serve the living God. The verses emphasize that Christ’s death ...

Navigating the Hustle and Bustle: A Dream of Walking Down a Crowded Grocery Store Aisle

Navigating the Hustle and Bustle: A Dream of Walking Down a Crowded Grocery Store Aisle -  The dream involves walking down a busy and tight grocery store aisle, packed with shoppers and a few employees.  I navigate through the cluttered aisle, being rushed, feeling overwhelmed, anxious and a bit frustrated by the hustle and bustle of the environment.  I eventually turn the corner only to find a big box blocking the isle that needs maneuvering to get around it. The Importance of Diligence in Pursuing God's Promises

The Importance of Diligence in Pursuing God's Promises - The book of Hebrews Chapter 3 begins with a warning to pay attention to what is heard and not to have hard hearts, like the ancestors did in the wilderness. The Scriptures compare Jesus to Moses, pointing out that while Moses was faithful as a servant in God's house, Jesus is faithful as a son over God's house. We are to hold fast in having confidence in Christ, and be reminded of the importance of faith and obedience. The Scripture quotes Psalm 95, which warns against disobedience and unbelief, and encourages us to encourage one another daily so that sin deceives no one. The author also warns that those who rebelled against God in the wilderness could not enter His rest, and that we must be diligent to enter that rest through faith and obedience. The chapter concludes with a warning that unbelief is a serious sin, and that we must be careful not to fall into it. It urges us to persevere in faith, reminding us that tho...

Be Strong in the Grace of Christ

Join in the reading and discussion of 2 Timothy, Ch. 2 on the Blessings Ministry show on Spreaker. The link is below.  1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.  2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.  3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.  4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.  5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.  6 The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.  7 Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.  8 Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:  9 Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; b...

All Is Good

All is good 🔵 When you're in a situation not pleasing to you, keep in mind it will pass. What you're going through will not last. It cannot stay. God doesn't want you to suffer in that way. Our God is a deliver, a peace giver. He is Holy and righteous. His grace is given to us through the sacrificing of His Son, Jesus Christ. Through the sacrificing of Jesus Christ, we have an openness with our Heavenly Father. Take your cares and praises to Him. We are able to pray openly to God, through Jesus Christ and so much more.  Titus 2:14, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Hebrews 9:28, 12:14. Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. - John 14:6. God is gracious. God is Love. God is joy. God is peace and more. So much more than I would ever be able to write. Just know this, there's no situation too hard for God. There isn't anything He can't handle. Take all your anxieties and woes to God. He cares ...

Put On the Whole Armour of God

Trying Times We live in very trying times. There is so much happening today all around the world. COVID-19 is still lurking around, killing thousands daily. The US government is in disarray and crime is on the rise. There seems to be no end to the terrible things happening in this world.  The Armour of God The Bible says at Ephesians 6:11-18   that during these times we are to put on the whole armour of God. We are not wrestling against flesh and blood, but of spiritual wicked powers. We cannot combat these powers by ourselves. We need the spiritual help of God. In the Bible at 2 Thessalonians 3:3, it says, " But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one." We are to keep His entire armour on.  Not only are we living in trying times, we are living in what the Bible calls the last days. Second Timothy 3:1-5 describes our experiences during this time:  1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.  2 People...

The Return of Jesus

The Return of Jesus 1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.  2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.     3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. John14:1-3 Are you ready for the return of JESUSSS? In His return, every man is rewarded according to his works. 12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. 14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. When will Jesus return? The Scripture in Matthew 24:36 answers this question below. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. - Matthew...

Worthiness to Enter Into Gods Kingdom

God wants non of His children to partake in the sinfulness of this world, but to come under His saving grace. The Bible says this at Ephesians 5:1-7: Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; 2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. 3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; 4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. 5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. 6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them. God is very serious when He tells us about the inheriting His Kingdom. We ar...

We are Truly a Blessed People

We are truly a blessed people. The Bible says in the book of Ephesians 2:8 that we are saved by grace through faith. Our being saved is a gift from God and is not by any of our own works.  God has granted us unmerited favor. He continues to bless us at all times. God sent His Son who shed blood on the cross for our sins, securing us with salvation and eternal life. The Son of God manifested himself on earth so that he might destroy the works of the devil. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8. Jesus Christ walked this earth performing many miracles, healing the sick and curing many diseases. Jesus Christ is still performing miracles today through his followers. He has not changed. Hebrews 13:8 says: Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and forever. The disciples of Jesus went on to perform many healings and mira...

The LORD our God is With Us

This post is about the Scripture at 1 Kings 8:51-56 in the Holy Bible. The Scripture states: 56 Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant. 57 The LORD our God be with us; as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us: 58 That he may incline our hearts unto him, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and his statutes, and his judgments, which he commanded our fathers. 59 And let these my words, wherewith I have made supplication before the LORD, be nigh unto the LORD our God day and night, that he maintain the cause of his servant, and the cause of his people Israel at all times, as the matter shall require: 60 That all the people of the earth may know that the LORD is God, and that there is none else. 61 Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his ...
