  Walking in obedience: The Power of Deuteronomy 28 Deuteronomy 28 is one of the most powerful and sobering chapters in the Bible. Spoken by Moses to the people of Israel, this chapter lays out the terms of God's covenant with His people — blessings for obedience and curses for disobedience . The first 14 verses are filled with promises of abundance, protection, promotion, and favor. God promises to bless every area of life — from the city to the field, from our children to our work, from our coming in to our going out. The condition? Obedience. God’s blessings flow when we walk according to His Word. But starting in verse 15, the tone changes.
