The Value of Faith, Perseverance, and Holiness

The Value of Faith, Perseverance, and Holiness Introduction and Greeting In the opening verses of 1 Peter, the apostle introduces himself as an apostle of Jesus Christ and addresses the people in his letter as Christians who are scattered throughout several regions. Peter acknowledges their faith and encourages them by reminding them of their new birth through Christ and the hope they have in him. The Value of Faith Peter emphasizes the value of faith in God, which is being tested by trials. He explains that faith will be proven genuine through perseverance and that it will result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Peter encourages the people to remain steadfast in faith in reminder that faith is more valuable than gold, which perishes even though it is tested by fire. The Hope of Salvation Peter tells of the hope of salvation in Christ. He explains that salvation is the goal of  faith and that the prophets of old searched and inquired about this salvati...

Worthiness to Enter Into Gods Kingdom

God wants non of His children to partake in the sinfulness of this world, but to come under His saving grace. The Bible says this at Ephesians 5:1-7: Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; 2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. 3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; 4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. 5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. 6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them. God is very serious when He tells us about the inheriting His Kingdom. We ar...

Be Still, and Know that I Am God

Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. - Psalm 46:10.  The COVID-19 pandemic is in effect. COVID-19 is an illness caused by a coronavirus called SARS-CoV-2. Check out the CDC website for more information on the virus.  If you are feeling any symptoms of a fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, sore throat, muscle pain and loss of taste or smell, you are asked to self quarantine yourself in your home for 14 days. The Light Must Shine

Dear bright and shining light, I know you are not shy. For all to see, You shine your light. We need you all day and throughout the night. When you come forward, the enemy must take flight. In you, he takes no delight. Corrupt to the core he is, full of trouble and strife. But, do not worry. In your presence, he has no power. Sound the horns! Blow the trumpets! Now is your hour! The Light will not flicker. The Light will not wither. All is done. The battle is already won. Dear friends, can you see the illumination of the Light? Stand tall and watch the enemy fall. The Blessings Keep Coming

The blessings keep coming. It started the day she tried on her wedding dress. I was there in support. Afterwards, the entire group decided to get a bite to eat. In my purse, I had seventy cents and on my card, I had three dollars plus some change. Upon arrival to the restaurant, we were greeted and seated by the waitress. While checking out the menu, I wondered what I could order that would not be over the bit of money I had in my purse. I could play it safe by ordering a pop or coffee. Hmmm,... The waitress appeared as the group was discussing what they were going to order. Since they served breakfast, lunch and dinner, I asked for a side order of toast. The group suggested I get the french toast, which was waaay out of my budget. But, I said, OK and ordered it. All along, I had been praying in my head for the LORD to help me. When the food came, I prayed for the group, thanking God for our meal. We all enjoyed ourselves. They even tasted some of my french toast....

Who Is The Holy Spirit? The Reason I Need Him

Who is the Holy Spirit? - The Reasons I Need Him - The Holy Spirit is God Almighty and is co-equal to both our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is part of the trinity and can be worshiped. He is gentle, quiet, invisible and does not draw much attention to himself. John 5:7 says: For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. You may have questions as to what exactly the Holy Spirit does. There are many things the Holy Spirit does in our lives. I am going to discuss a few of them in this article. One of the first things the Holy Spirit does is takes the love of God and makes it personal. You begin to realize just how much compassion, love and care God has for you. God has already planned your path and continues to monitor each and every tiny detail about you. HE loves you. The Holy Spirit makes you feel special. The more you get to know Him, the more you need Him. The Book of John 14:26 s...

Special Blessings From The LORD

There was an angel named Gabriel who was sent from God to  appear before a virgin woman named Mary. She was espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The angel came to M ary and delivered this message: Luke 1:28-33  28  And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. 29  And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. 30  And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 31  And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name  Jesus . 32  He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33  And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. Now ...
