Put On the Whole Armour of God

Trying Times

We live in very trying times. There is so much happening today all around the world. COVID-19 is still lurking around, killing thousands daily. The US government is in disarray and crime is on the rise. There seems to be no end to the terrible things happening in this world.

The Armour of God

The Bible says at Ephesians 6:11-18
that during these times we are to put on the whole armour of God. We are not wrestling against flesh and blood, but of spiritual wicked powers. We cannot combat these powers by ourselves. We need the spiritual help of God. In the Bible at 2 Thessalonians 3:3, it says, " But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one." We are to keep His entire armour on.

Not only are we living in trying times, we are living in what the Bible calls the last days. Second Timothy 3:1-5 describes our experiences during this time:

1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.

2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parent, ungrateful, unholy,

3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good,

4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God-

5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.  -
2 Timothy 3:1-5

These things are happening today in our lives and in the lives of others all over the world. The Bible tells us to have nothing to do with these kind of people. We are to steer clear of ungodly acts.

There is Hope

There is hope now for the future. We have a hope and promise through Jesus Christ that one day all of this will come to an end. This world that we know now, will soon be a thing of the past. We look forward to a new heaven and earth.

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. - Hebrews 11:1

16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. -
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. - Revelation 21:4

A Declaration

9 If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it it with your mouth that profess your faith and are saved. - Romans 10-9-10

If you speak Romans 10:9-10 verbally that "Jesus is Lord" and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you will be saved. Speak these words today, if you have not already. God loves you and His desire is for all to be saved.

There you have it! In conclusion, we are living in very trying times, the end times. God says that He will strengthen and protect us from the evil one. -
2 Thessalonians 3:3.

Put on the full armour of God and we shall make it through, knowing that Jesus Christ our Savior is returning. Also, death, sorrow, crying and pain, will be a thing of the past.

I invite you to listen in on a timely podcast that goes along with this article also called, "Put On the Whole Armour of God.

A Wake-Up Call: Few Will Enter the Kingdom of God

A Wake-Up Call: Few Will Enter the Kingdom of God Recently, I had a dream that I believe holds a significant message  not only for myself but for many others. I feel led to share this dream with you, as I believe it serves as a spiritual wake up call–a reminder of the urgency of walking in the truth and seeking the Kingdom of God. In this dream, I found myself in a large classroom filled with 30 or more adults. The atmosphere was serious, almost as if everyone was waiting for something important to happen. At the front of the classroom, there was a door that led to a small, enclosed room. I stepped into that room, and with me was a man, though I couldn’t clearly identify who he was. In my hand, I was holding four large wooden dowels. These dowels were about 12 inches long and colored similarly to chico sticks — bright and attention  - grabbing. I kept turning to the man beside me, telling him, “You tell them,” as if I was unsure of delivering the message myself. But each...

You’re Not Alone in This

You’re Not Alone in This When life gets heavy — and it does — we sometimes forget that we’re not meant to carry everything on our own. The weight of worry, uncertainty, or exhaustion may press down on your heart, but God is not asking you to be strong all by yourself. In fact, His strength shines brightest when we admit our weakness and lean into Him. Take a deep breath. Inhale peace, exhale fear. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.  - 1 Timothy 1:7. Each step you take, no matter how small, is a step of faith. And you are never taking that step alone. God walks beside you — whispering courage, wrapping you in grace, and holding your heart steady. So tonight, rest in that promise. Tomorrow, rise with new strength. You’re not forgotten. You’re not forsaken. You’re not alone. My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness — 2 Corinthians 12:9  Listen to the podcast episode: Life ...

The Power of Praise: How Psalm 147 Reminds Us of God’s Care

The Power of Praise: How Psalm 147 Reminds Us of God’s Care Life often brings uncertainty, pain, and struggles. In difficult times, it's easy to forget just how powerful and loving our God is. Psalm 147 is a beautiful reminder that God not only controls the universe but also cares deeply for His people. 1. God Heals the Brokenhearted One of the most comforting verses in Psalm 147 is verse 3: "He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds." No matter what trials we face—whether heartbreak, loss, or disappointment—God is always present to restore us. His love is greater than our pain, and His healing is perfect. 2. God’s Power Extends Over All Creation Verse 4 says: "He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names." This verse shows that God’s knowledge and power are limitless. If He cares enough to name every star, how much more does He care for us? 3. God Provides for All "He giveth to the beast his food, ...
